When you spend your days not focusing on your passions, you start to go a little stir crazy. I haven’t picked up my camera in months. I needed a project to work on. In a matter of a few hours, I put together a collection of other people’s eyeballs. All cropped and edited by Instagram and shot on my iPhone.
Unlike my usual photographs, nothing was premeditated. No models, location scouting, hair or makeup. The whole thing was put together on a whim using my co-workers from Apple.
I’ve been really under the radar these days. Super busy with working at Photolux and doing other commissioned jobs. No real time to shoot personal creatives. Although, while home sick today, I took it upon myself to doll myself up, and take a self portrait. So here we are. The ceramic tiger and I.
This is part one of a two-part shoot done for Adamo Di Nardo. Adamo is a hairstylist who works at Rinaldo’s salon in Manotick and he’s currently competing in the National Davines 2011 competition. Adamo was the mastermind behind the coloring and styling of our model’s hair. He will be judged on, obviously, the color, cut and styling of the hair, and the overall theme and look that goes along with it.
This set of images was shot inside of Watson’s Mill in Manotick. Supposably haunted, we encountered quite a few mysterious happenings during our shoot. From random flash popping to random drops in temperature, it was a hair-raising experience for everyone involved. Funny enough, there were paranormal investigators with us at the time of our shoot. Let me know if you spot anything unusual in the photos ;)
And of course, Aurelia Cerquozzi was the beauty in front of the camera. A future muse for many more photo-science experiments.
